Radiculopathy occurs when a nerve or nerve root is irritated, inflamed, ‘pinched,’ or may be affected by a disease that is destroying it in part or totally (such as in diabetic neuropathy). It typically results in pain, numbness and tingling, weakness, and difficulty with muscle control.
